Let's recap here, Peedee Fryman is Steven's workaholic, disciplined, and slightly spastic friend. Opposite of his brother, he is mature and responsible. He tries hard to maintain the family business selling fries. He like most residents of Beach City has a friendship with Steven Universe, although they play less now due to Steven's responsibilities they still keep in contact and communicate occasionally, most notably whenever Steven ask for fry bits.
Now I feel we should’ve had a bigger role or even pit him as a potential love interest for Steven. Following his final role in a Flashback Episode “Letter’s to Lars”, Peedee’s been regulated mainly to cameos or background character. I feel he and Steven could become a couple, Peedee and Steven have a great connection I wish that was explored later on. I feel as though he and Connie would likely not last as long since Connie would be going off to college and exploring new interests.
These is my own thoughts here but honestly it just feels with Steven and Connie exploring their own interest it would be pivotal for growth. I feel he's pretty underrated and it would be curious exactly to see how he and Steven's friendship grows. After all some friends you talk less with might come back closer than ever. If Steven Universe Future was handled properly then maybe it would give more depth in the complications of being a teenager such as falling in love or getting crushes way too easily. Which is something I can certainly relate too as a late bloomer and man who falls in and out of love.
Again these are my own thoughts and opinions but I believe Peedee could've had a bigger role if they utilized his character more. Although I do know Rebecca Sugar isn't blame for Future being a little rushed and crammed but I still wanna express my belief that Peedee could've been a more major character.
